Doing our bit to use resources more intelligently

It seems obvious that we should look after our planet, make the best use of God given resources and share our good fortune with others. While there is always more to do, here’s how we try to put that into practice:

•    low energy lightbulbs are used wherever possible
•    separate plastic and bottle recycling bins are available - please use them
•    composting veg waste - use the green compostable bag
•    researching water re-cycling technologies for our pool
•    2 new boilers installed 2011 to enable tie in with solar panels
•    bike racks - bring the bikes and explore on 2 wheels instead of 4
•    reclaimed building materials - where possible we have used reclaimed floor boards, roof slates, doors and even the inglenook in Croft House
•    hessian shopping bags provided in each cottage
•    New! in 2011, for every online booking we will donate £1 to Dyfed Wildlife Trust
•    we are pleased to sponsor two children through Compassion http://www.compassionuk.org/
